This high-quality component uses the latest compression technology and features overload protection. The efficient design of the scroll compressor is complemented by our efficient condensing coil, which is made with corrugated aluminum fins and refrigeration grade copper tubing.

In many applications, the efficiency of your Amana brand ASX18 Air Conditioner can be enhanced by using it in conjunction with an Amana brand Gas Furnace, Air Handler or Modular Blower that includes a variable speed blower motor. What is R-410A?
Compared to lower SEER, R-22 refrigerant units, our new Amana® ASX18 Air Conditioner will not only provide you with energy-efficient cooling performance for many years, but it also features R-410A refrigerant. Since this refrigerant does not contain chlorine, it is environmentally-friendlier than R-22 refrigerant, which is currently used in most air conditioning systems. Introduced in 1995, R-410A refrigerant has helped increase the durability and reliability of air conditioner compressors.

To minimize operating sounds, we've acoustically engineered our systems with enhancements that include a compressor sound-reduction cover made of high-density foam and a specially designed sound-control top.
